The Taculus™ MX Chest Rig is designed to withstand the most challenging conditions, making it perfect for range days or operational use. The water-resistant nylon chassis ensures maximum durability and protection from the elements. The three integrated rifle magazine pockets are adaptable to fit AR15, AK, or AR10 platform magazines. An additional included insert allows the mag pouches to hold two pistol or SMG stick mags. the laser-cut MOLLE, with elastic straps, will enable you to customize your load-out, while the belly pouch features a removable panel for 3"x7" unit or department badging. Additionally, the Taculus MX offers superior comfort and support through its adjustable/removable 4-point padded chest harness with magnetic quick-release buckles. The Taculus MX was designed by a collaboration of U.S. veterans and the VIKTOS team of Special Forces and SWAT operators. It comes with a 1-year workmanship and materials warranty. ‚

Good Looking Open Chest Rig
I would recommend this as a buy. Great design, full of features. There are 3 front pouches for rifle mags, or you can combine 2 outer pockets for rifle mags, and the center pouch has velcro internal pouches (not shown) that provide for 2 double-stack pistol mags. The exterior of the rifle pouches does have openings (thin straps) to insert a total of 6 pistol mags (across your chest), but the stitching on those straps doesn't appear to be built to last long. I do like the magnetic disconnects for easy on and off rig. The rear or backside has nice padding and is breathable. The lower compartment is large enough for a tourniquet or small first aid kit, or just to hold some loose ammo and perhaps a few range day essentials like: pen, pad, keys, and a small flashlight. This is even a better buy when found on sale; you definitely won't have any regrets. Choose an open rig or a close chest rig system depending on the application, how much ammo you need to carry for the task, and how hard you take your firearms training. The back of the front chest does have velcro so it can adhere to your ballistic carrier plate. Without adherence to anything, and if you're going to grab a mag off this chest rig, it may require the use of both hands. One hand holds the chest rig in place, while the other hand grabs a magazine; otherwise, the bottom of this chest rig will flop up because you're grabbing and pulling up from the top. Just something to think about if you're new to utilizing open chest rigs.

Great light rig

This thing is really well made and packs a lot of features into a small package. The magnetic buckles are strong and very fast to snap and release.

Everything you need and everything you don’t
Perfect ! Well made and not to big, I have larger chest rigs but they are hot and heavy ! I bought this one to keep in the truck.for a smaller load out that’s enough to get you out of a situation.

Chest Rig
It’s A-ight. For the range, plinking around and such. It has a hand gun magazine sleeve, surprised company hasn’t put out something to use outside of rifle pocket. It does have webbing to attach but no attachments. Anyway. Glad I waited for price drop.

Taculus Chest Rig
This is a great chest rig . I run 7.62 AK’s and 5.56/ 300 BLK AR’s. The mag pouches accept both magazines securely. There is molle on the mag pouches as well as the shoulder support pad for additional gear. The accessory pouch is large and sits out of the way nicely. It’s lightweight, adjustable and is well balanced thanks to the shoulder support. I like it so much I bought another one for my wife.

Taculus MX Chest Rig
Solid construction. Bought it because I was looking for something lighter than my armor setup. Simple design and I’d recommend using the included mag straps as there’s no kydex or other locking system in the mag pouches. I move and run a lot for my shooting courses/classes/drills and magpul mags were more loose than I’d like and an issue when I go inverted. Molle loosening the front are good for attaching a horizontal mag pouch. Overall, the Taculus MX Chest Rig is a simple, solidly constructed design that says what it does and does what it says. It fits well and feels comfortable for my all day wear. Another win for Viktos.

Well made, simple rig.
Great for the heat. Small and effective chest rig to train with. Great metal fasteners and would, yet light weight construction. Works great!
