Damn Good Denim

Gunfighter RR Jean

I operate behind enemy lines in Portland, Oregon — a place where being prepared but staying covert is critical to my daily existence. That reality shaped the Gunfighter RR Jean.

Most denim can’t handle concealed carry. It sags under a pistol or locks you up the moment you move. I wanted something different: CCW-capable, durable enough for range abuse, but comfortable enough to wear every damn day.

The mission was simple. The execution was not. Build a jean that looks like it belongs anywhere, but functions like purpose-built kit.

I started with 12oz stretch denim — heavy, tough, and still forgiving. The waistband became my obsession. Belt loops were pushed outward so I could position an appendix rig closer to centerline. Inside, I stitched in webbing that allows fixed blade carry without needing to attach to my belt. It sounds small, but it’s game-changing — no more knives clattering on tile when you drop trou.

The RR also carries extra pocketing, tuned for range life. Pistol and rifle mags when I’m running drills. Phone, wallet, EDC when I’m not. That dual role is what gives it the RR name — Range Ready.

Fit mattered most. Concealed carry isn’t standing at the range with a perfect stance. It’s hours of driving, crouching, climbing stairs, or sitting behind a work computer. If the jean fails there, it fails everywhere. What we ended up with is the one pair I can trust — from the firing line to a Portland coffee shop.

For me, the Gunfighter RR isn’t just denim. It’s freedom. The freedom to carry what I need, move without restriction, and blend into a low-permissive environment without raising a single eyebrow.
