    Patrolux Glove

These gloves are very comfortable; too thick for pistols but probably will work for rifles. For me, they are good for about 40 degrees F

    cold weather glove

These gloves are comfortable and should work well. Hasn't been cold enough yet to really test them out. They do seem to run a little larger than other gloves I've purchased.

    Nope!

I have bought and tried a lot of them. I've had to have bought likely more than 30 different types of tactical to semi-tactical gloves over the years, and warn them all. It's like a never ending quest to find something warm that has a reasonable amount of dexterity. Sadly, after buying these, my search continues. Just like the other Viktos gloves I've bought, and other brands, it seems they all live in bizzarro land. They all feel the need to put this thick leather-ish protection and padding on the inside/ palm side of the hand while the thinner, breathable, water funneling material is on the outside of the hand. It doesn't make sense. Its like they are made for people doing handstands in broken glass in the summer time. The thicker material on the inside and up over the finger tip both protected your hands very well and eliminates you ability to use them for anything other than holding on to something. I wouldn't want to try to manipulate a mag release, charging handle, or even a pressure switch with these at the range never mind when it counts. Running a trigger well would be questionable. And the whole time you're running these tools the back of your hand is freezing and wet. I don't think I'm a rocket scientist but I know I'm definitely smart enough to know that design is backwards. However, all of that aside, they do look cool so +1 star for having people who don't know better thinking I'm wearing cool stuff. This feels like it was designed by range enthusiasts who only intended to wear this at the range, and not do any shooting in them. Or maybe someone doing the take-you-time bolt action target practice crowd who shoot in a dry and windproof enclosure? These would probably work for that if you also had a space heater. The lone bright spot, and I do mean this sincerely, is that I do appreciate the little fabric flappy thingy at the tip of the velcro. I hating fighting to get a glove off, which is common when companies make these gloves with velcor tightening straps. So kudos for getting that right.

They’re not quite warm or waterproof

I bought these a few weeks ago and was excited to use them today in the cold wet light snow. My hands get wet but not submerged and it didn’t take long for my hands to be wet and cold. I switched back to my very well used carhartt gloves after a little more than an hour.

Got to test them this weekend on a night op and they did not disappoint! Im from Texas so I dont like cold hands and these were excellent in 38° weather, for a cold weather glove there's plenty of dexterity to change batteries in a thermal with them on.
