It is built on the same tactical chassis as the original, but with the inclusion of a fully waterproof/breathable performance lining. The bottom unit is our vetted Strife™ outsole for excellent outdoor traction & durability.

Johnny Combat Waterproof Boot Review
Overall, I would give this 4.5 out of 5 stars. The material quality, waterproofing, and comfort of the boot is excellent. The heel and spine of the boot above the heel is very stiff but will loosen with enough time working the material. One of the shoe laces was damaged upon receiving the product, but this is a manufacturer error. Overall, an excellent boot, highly recommend it.
