The Upscale™ XL is the perfect upgrade for those needing more space in their slingbag. The new padded laptop compartment will fit up to 13" laptops or similar-sized tablets, while the CCW compartment will fit up to a full-size pistol in the included universal hook & loop holster. In addition, the main compartments feature elastic webbing and an internal cargo pocket, perfect for holding extra magazines, sunglasses, tourniquet, and medkit. Finally, an ambidextrous padded sling with quick-release buckles allows easy pistol access when worn on either side of the body. Overall dimensions 15" h x 9" w x 5" d.

Great bag, but..
Construction, zippers, stitching, design, access is really done well. My only complaints truly are that of personal opinion and nothing to do with quality. The only true issue I have noticed is the backing of the pack, draws a lot of lint, hair, debris from regular wear. Ive been using the bag non stop for 3 days and already its an eyesore. The rest of the pack is superior at shedding not only water, but dust, dirt, debris from being on my floorboard, ground, etc. Recommendations: the two support straps on the top and bottom of pack could use just a hair but more to grab onto. Even just plastic dip section would go along way. The inner strap area, where I have placed my mags i wish had 2 pouches, or at least a bottom to keep mags from slipping through, with daily pack use. I notice if I just put pack on, and walk around its not an issue, but doing errands, on and off back, sitting down, falling over, my mags push through and the mags are almost inaccessible (especially in HOTM), it would be nice to have a more secure design for bolstered mag strap. Another recommendation would be an option for the inner included holster to have an alternate option for flash light, laser, bigger or smaller for even a fee would be awesome. I'd rather spend an additional $15-20 and get a holster that is "designed" to use the already installed velcro lining to secure my firearm better. The included holster is well built, and that the pack comes with one that IS optic ready is pretty sweet, but options could help. (Revolver, micro, adjustable <light/laser>) Another critique is the Viktos logo on the top front of bag is well designed in production, but if the glasses pouch is not fully utilized the logo has a tendency to tuck under from shipping/packing design. I like that this bag is both low profile, but also offers enough of a tactical edge that I feel ready without drawing attention. Here's the real niddy-griddy.. bag is great, im going to order another pack for my wife. She likes it, and I am already sharing the pros vs many of the other options. Great job Viktos, solid bag!

Versatility for CCW
Great bag, solid upgrade over the upscale 3 I carried previously. Can fit much more medical gear over a simple iFak. Can rotate between my different carries up to and including my Flux, and still fit a premier body armor plate and an iPad Pro.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Sometimes when you order something online, you just hope that it is close to your expectations. In this case, the Upscale XL Slingbag met my expectations. Upscale XL Sling bag
So, I was given the smaller one a year ago. I keep all my stuff in it, keys, glasses, wallet, 365, notepad, light, knife, etc. I carry my iPad Pro with me everywhere I go for work and hobbies. It was driving me nuts. Got this bag and now I am dialed in. Couldn’t be more stoked on it.

Thought on 5.11 Upscale XL Slingbag
*REAL PERSON REVIEW* I recently purchased this bag for work! I was previously utilizing a backpack for work (which ultimately became a dump zone for an assortment of items typically unneeded for work. I work as a Co-Response Crisis Clinician, meaning— my day is spent in/ out of a police cruiser; additionally, when riding passenger in a standard cruiser, there is limited space. That’s where this bag came in. I need something to safely house: tablet (for documentation), First Aid items/ Narcan, comfort items, personal belongings and so on. Although this bag is limited on space, it houses and hides it well. Takes up minimal space, and is built very well. Additionally, this bag serves well outside of work for off-body CCW. Overall, I am very content with this bag.

Good bag, could have more potential
For the price, it is nice compared to the competitors. Feels like good material, and it is nice to have that added organization sector from part of the bag. However, Viktos, if you are seeing this, I would absolutely love to see a 2.0 version. One where the back-padded section has breathable mesh padding, along with the strap sector. I would also like to see where the inner velcro section has a proper velcro-backed area instead of little strips, so that organization can be more manageable. I would also like a stronger handlebar, as the one already installed seems like it would break under weight, which happened to me a couple of years ago. All in all, for what it's worth, it's a good bag and great customer service.

Bag is great
Bought the bag to carry needed supplies during small hikes in the woods and it was great and comfortable. My only complaint is the velcro in the dual zipper rear compartment. The single velcro flap on the opening for the laptop or armor is not enough to support the pocket from sagging if you use that side to draw from. Also the 2 strips of velcro on either side of the compartment leaves you wanting more for more mounting options, should be 2 large solid velcro panels. This a great bag just needs a 2.0 version in my opinion.

Customer Service
I got the Upscale XL, so far, I love it. But this review is about the customer service. The USPS severely damaged the bag during delivery. I contacted Viktos right away and sent pictures, they responded within 24 hours and sent a new bag (thankfully, the second arrived unharmed). Great service! Thank you!
